What can possibly be more stupid than an electric knife?

I can remember how popular electric can openers were, but for the life of me I don't know why anyone needs that big thing hanging around when opening a can by hand is not a big deal even with arthritis. In fact, I never even noticed any of them for sale, but I bet they still sell them.
