No Sims 3 serial number on the back of the booklet?

I just there started installing the sims 3 for the pc, but now i've been asked for a serial number, i cannot find mine, i was searching the internet and it said it should be on the back of the booklet, but mines is a blank box with serial number written above it. Please help me it will be greatly appreciated :)
